Some of the book genre types are fiction, science fiction, thriller, tragedy, and comedy. Other types of book genres are Biography, autobiography, mystery, action, adventure, and romance. Fantasy, historical, non-fiction and horror are also types of book genres. Violence, true story, documentary and comedy can also be added to the list. There are also illustrated books, handbooks, science books, reference books and hymnals. The genres of books are endless, and are still being created today.

Genres mean types or styles of music or books, and they are quite a few different ones. In music, some genres include, rap and hip hop, gospel and classic. However, with books, the different types of genres include poetry, fantasy, non-fiction, biographies and references.

A books genre is the type of book it is. For instance, a book in the autobiography genre is a book that was written about a person about their life. A book in the fiction genre is a book that is a made up story.
